New Birds John Saw in 2006

2006 was a fairly slow year when it came to adding birds to my life list, now three years in. The biggest highlights were my second pelagic trip, which included landing on Santa Cruz Island in Channel Islands National Park to see the endemic Island Scrub-Jay, and my final Alabama trip to date that summer, during which my family and I traveled to Florida's Gulf Coast and I got to see Sandwich Tern and Fish Crow, among other coastal specialties.
