At the back of my copy of Flaubert's 'Three Tales' (as per the first mage of this list), there is a list of other titles published by Penguin at the time.
Reading through the list which contains European literature from France, Spain, Italy and Russia, I thought it would make a good starting point reading for a TBR.
It is not comprehensive, but it does contain key works and is only a tip of the iceberg.
As other LC users might be interested, I have created this list for whoever cares to use it.
