The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction Movies:A-G - Page 5

The following movie titles are from the above-named fab book by C.J. Henderson. Ranging from 1897-2000, these are all films given seperate entries, & in alphabetical order(unless listed under an alternate title). 2 Notes-Did not include 3 titles as I couldn't find them on IMDB:"The Electric Villa", a French short from 1911; "The Gap", a British film from 1937; & "Captain Ultra", a Japanese film from1962(there is a 1967 Japanese TV series by that name). Also, I didn't list "L'Atlantide" or "F.P.1" more than once. Each story was filmed simultaneously in English, French & German with different casts & crew. Luckily Brigitte Helm from "Metropolis" was multi-lingual & did all 3 versions of "L'Atlantide"(I forgot to add the German version). She also did the German version of "F.P.1" with her "Gold" co-star Hans Albers. The English version starred fellow German Conrad Veidt of "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" & "Casablanca" The French version has Charles Boyer of "Algiers" & "Gaslight" fame.
