NASA! Project Apollo

The Apollo program lasted from 1962 through 1975, with six successful Moon landings between 1969 and 1972. Apollo 1 experienced a launch pad fire, costing the lives of three astronauts: Michael Chaffee, Gus Grissom, and Ed White. Apollo 11 and 12 and 14-17 all successfully landed on the Moon.
In addition, Apollo astronauts and hardware were used for the Skylab missions and for the Apollo-Soyez joint mission between the USA and the USSR.
