If I wanted to explore further, I dug deeper into the classics: Edgar Allen Poe. Nathaniel Hawthorne. Shirley Jackson. Charlotte Perkins Gilman. But these days, I feel as if we're seeing new classics. Books and authors who, one day, will loom as large as their predecessors. To me, they already do.
