10 Sins: Great Movies Made Lesser by Their Ending

Is there anything more frustrating than a film that has been good all the way through...until it's time for the final act which then comes as a major letdown? There are a number of reasons why this could be the case. A common would would be that the movie simple leaves thoughts along the lines of 'what? That's it?' (The Birds, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night) or leaves more questions than it answers (Katalin Varga). Or it may just end on a real downer after managing to get you invested in a character's fate (Brimstone). A selection of ten films where this is true for me. I still rate the films as good, perhaps even great otherwise, but what were they thinking with the ending?
