Romance movies are films which centre around love, passion, and other forms of strong, romantic emotions. The plots can revolve around many aspects of love, such as the dating and courtship period of a relationship, a wedding, married life, forbidden love, or sexual passion. Romantic films are not always optimistic, though they commonly portray a "happily ever after" theme or give a positive overcoming of various obstacles to achieve the romantic desires. However, romantic Drama is a commonplace hybrid which shows the good and bad aspects of the romance in equal measure.
