There are a number of things that make a sports facility amazing. It could be the sheer size of it, the spectacular architecture, the technology it contains, its age, or the beautiful setting. But it isn't always the building itself; as often as not, it's the history, the team(s) who call it home, or the atmosphere that makes it special - it's what's inside that counts. The features of the stadiums are incredible, from retractable roofs to retractable fields (or in one case, both). Occasionally, at first glance, it doesn't look very interesting, like a relatively unassuming hockey arena - until one realizes it's built entirely inside a cave. Or, it could be its unique character - like a field that floats on water. This list ranges from stadiums holding well over 100,000 fans, to a New York City playground that has produced so many NBA players, that bleachers and a scoreboard were installed to enable spectators to watch future legends in action.
