A list I've been wanting to make for a very long time. This compiles titles I've seen on various "best movies" lists. Part of the reason it's taken me so long to make this is because I wanted to see all the movies to determine them to be at least decent (since it's improbable for me to love every single title on a list this size). The list is in chronological order because I'm bad at ranking things, but it also provides a visual guide on how movies have changed over the decades.
My criteria:
- Has a "fresh" rating on Rotten Tomatoes (60% or higher)
- Qualifies for IMDb's Top 1000 (Has a score of 7.6 or higher based on at least 26000 ratings)
- Has a score of 61 or higher on Metacritic (not visible on this site)
- One entry per franchise (one Godfather, one Star Wars, etc.)
(I know that a lot of favorites aren't on the list, but keep in mind that there's only so much room on a top 100, and I'm not really up for a top 200.)
