In 1994, slacker-of-all-trades Kevin Smith released "Clerks" and instantly cemented his place in the cinematic landscape — or more accurately, created that place from the ground up. Smith followed up on "Clerks" with a string of similarly irreverent and pop culture-obsessed movies, officially creating his interconnected View Askewniverse and establishing himself as one of the leading voices in the world of snarky, Generation X geekdom.
