150 Essential Nightmare Movies From the New Millennium - Page 3

I'm the first to admit there is no such thing as a definitive list of movies, every person has their own favourites from each genre, and one person's treasure is another's trash. That said, as a seasoned horrorphile - and as a reaction to a bunch of similarly-themed lists - I felt compelled to put together my own selection which best represent the most effective elements within a horror movie. I prefer to call these nightmare movies, since I've included a few films that probably wouldn't be classified strictly as horror, and I've tried to avoid slapstick/gag comedies. Hopefully those looking for a solid horror and terror fix will find more than a few in this selection they haven't seen. POST-SCRIPT: A few titles were inadvertently left off, HUMAN CENTIPEDE II (FULL SEQUENCE) (2011), INNER DEMON (2014), and IT FOLLOWS (2014) ... I will probably make a new list that spans what I would call the modern horror era (1968 - present). Keep your eyes peeled.
