150 Must-See German Movies - Page 2

This is a list of 150 outstanding German movies produced between 1919 and 1932 and between 1946 and 2016. Movies that were and still are essential to an understanding of German cinema, movies that won international awards as well as movies that experts consider to be "excellent". I did not include any movies from the time of 1933 to 1945. Whilst I acknowledge the cinematic values of some of the movies from that time, I cannot consider them to be "outstanding" or "excellent" due to the purpose they served.
