This is a comprehensive list of what I consider to be the most entertaining, compelling and artistic movies made this century, so far of course. With a few exceptions, this list does not include children's movies, which I will leave to someone else. Pixar and anime movies, however, have been included, as they work on both levels and are creatively outstanding. Further, although I'm not a huge fan of all of the superhero franchise movies, this list recognises the influence they've had on cinema and film this century so far. And finally, I know 2000 technically is the end of the last century, but we don't really look at it that way, do we? Enjoy.
