30 Actors That Could Be the Doctor (Doctor Who)

This is a list of 30 actors that I feel could potentially be good in the role of The Doctor from sci-fi series Doctor Who. Although The Doctor has to date always been British and Caucasian, I decided to select some actors from outside either of these demographics and I think I have a few atypical picks here. My only conditions for inclusion were that the actor has to be living at the time of the list's publication and that I couldn't include anyone who'd played a major role (companion or multi-story recurring character) before. The list does not take into account the actual likelihood of the actor ever taking the role even if it were ever offered. This is my 'hey! That could work!' list. Note that Toby Jones did technically already play The Doctor in the form of the Dream Lord in Series 5, but I'd like to see him in the role for real. I think that may prove interesting given his prior manifestation with that face.
