The Jackson 5 (later known as the Jacksons) are a pop band composed of members of the Jackson family. Founded in 1964 in Indiana by dad Joe Jackson & brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon & Michael, they performed on the Chitlin' Circuit, and in 1967 released 2 singles. In 1968, they signed with Motown, becoming the 1st group to debut w/4 #1 hits on Billboard: "I Want You Back", "ABC", "The Love You Save" & "I'll Be There". They also had 16 Top-40 singles. The group released 4 studio albums from 1976-1981 and have sold >100 million records worldwide. In 1980, they were honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. They were inducted to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1997. Two of the band's hits ("ABC" & "I Want You Back") are among the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock & Roll and alongside "I'll Be There", were inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
