40 Important Places of Christendom

Important places of Christendom include some important places from the Bible (mostly the New Testament), places where the apostles are buried according to tradition, places were ecumenical councils were held, important places of pilgrimage, and important places in the history of Christianity. I've tried to include places from both orthodox, catholic and protestant traditions, from Bethlehem in Palestine to Azusa Street, Los Angeles. Since this list is limited to just 40 places, the list of important places not included in this list is obviously longer than the list itself.
