Anime films are generally recognized for their use of stark colors, vibrant characters, and fantastic or futuristic themes. They are less concerned with movement and places and more with the details and settings of the characters, the combination of effects, and unique art styles, which often include character features such as large, emotive eyes.

While there are divided opinions on this, I decided to include some in this list. On a personal level, these films opened my eyes to the world of Japanese animation and opened the door to my exploration of the anime genre.
