500 Books by 500 Women

500 books by 500 different female authors: I've read most of these (though not quite all); in (the many) cases where I have read multiple books by the same author, I picked my favourite, and in the cases where I'd only read the one I included it. I could have added quite a few more, but I wanted a nice, round number and excluded books which I disliked or which failed to stick in my memory.
