Over the next few years we plan to really get to know the French Department of Mayenne. This is an area next to both Brittany and Normandy, but largely overlooked although it is "Escape to the Château" country and has become better known through that series.
This list includes every "Petite Cité de Caractère", and sometimes additional places of interest within them. It includes all the places on the "Route des Joyaux de la Mayenne" as well as museums, the cycle-rail, a couple of gardens, and a couple of boat trips.
It is going to be an adventure!
