70 Years, 70 Books: History, Biography, General Non-Fiction

Our maverick English Teacher and failed polymath contemplates his upcoming 70th birthday and lists 70 works of non-fiction on a wide variety of subjects, all of which he found to be particularly interesting, engaging, and entertaining. If the list appears excessively random, it is because it is excessively random. Our compiler is interested in so many different things that he often isn't sure what he wants to do next. Still, he has always believed that it's better to be interested than it is to be interesting.
