Hit the wall this month. Had set a goal back in Jan of seeing 1000 new movies in 2025, including 500 from my watchlist. Fell short by 29 and 25, respectively. But that's okay. After three years of watching movies obsessively, it was time for me to cut back, anyway.
No new country this month. Movies seen from France (4), Germany (1), Hong Kong (2), Italy (4), Japan (3), Mexico (1), Poland (1), Russia (2), South Korea (1), and Spain (1). EIght silents, three shorts (two silent, one Italian), and six entries from the National Film Registry.
This month's recommendations: Castle in the Sky; Dear White People; Early Summer; Sisu; Super Size Me.
