81 New Nature Books to Get You in the Mood for Spring

"Spring has largely sprung, here in the Northern Hemisphere, anyway. In honor of the seasonal upswing–and to celebrate April's Arbor Day and Earth Day–we've collected here the best new nature books of the last few years.

A few trends are evident: Climate change remains a perennial topic of interest, with books looking both to the future and the past. Recent science has uncovered some startling evidence to support the idea of consciousness in plants and trees. And several of the books here remind us that nature remains a source of solace for our own reckless species."
