I tried to find, for each of my many years, a book that I read, that a lot of other people read, and that I liked. When I was stuck with a year in which I was unable to find a book that met all three criteria, I chose a book that a lot of people read, was highly rated, and on my TBR. My priority was to avoid including any books that I hated, so I can pretty much recommend anything on the list. So, here's to long life, well-led, and well-read.
