A Decade of Horror List: 80s Horror Films - Page 4

Now, I'm one of those people that really love movies, but before I blossomed into a true cinephile I was cutting my milk teeth on the supple celluloid of horror films. The passion for these movies has always remained and I've been determined to see as many horror flicks as humanly possible. The horror films of the 1980's were some of the first I was exposed to in my early years and I consider this particular decade one of the most prominent for the genre as well as a major turning point for the way it was executed. We get some of our most notable and rewatchable horror films from this decade. It was the stomping ground for directors and screenwriters that would make it hard to sleep for decades to come. It also introduced a slew of new actors that would become closely associated with the genre. Now, I'm not saying every film in this list is great, in fact some of these I regret wasting an hour or so of my life on and some I couldn't even bring myself to finish. You judge for yourself.
