Our retired maverick English Teacher awaits Labor Day and the beginning of fall and comes up with 126 works of fiction that seem to fit that time of year. He has limited himself to novels and short stories, and has tried to avoid as much as possible the canon he has had to teach. ( There are a couple of exceptions.) He has tried to find something for everyone.
