A Holocaust Survivor's Granddaughter's Favorite Holocaust Historical Fiction

There is some controversy about whether people should be writing fictional novels about the Holocaust. My take on it is that the truth and the facts are different. Even if we somehow knew every fact about the Holocaust, we still wouldn't understand it. Rather, the truth of the Holocaust is in its incomprehensibility, in its unfathomable horrors. So if through fiction an author can help her readers imagine even a fraction of the physical, psychological, and emotional traumas of those who suffered and perished, then she has told the truth.
These are some of my favorites, but I have many more to read. I'll make more comprehensive lists as I make my way through them.
