A-Level English Literature List - Fortismere School

An anonymous teacher from Fortismere School in London has posted online this student reading list:
"The list that follows is by no means exhaustive, but it should give you somewhere to start when faced with a whole library full of possibilities! The texts in bold" (31 of them) "are currently on the set text list. You might be studying these texts as AS or A2; it will depend on your teacher. Happy reading!"
This list is in four sections: Prose, Poetry, Drama and Non-Fiction. The poets and playwrights were only listed by name, so I have chosen a representative book for them. The teacher adds: "You could also try and watch performances of work by the following dramatists....." Yes, totally agree.
