A List of Novels That Are Easy to Read - Page 3

What's precipitated this list is having recently come across a slew of BookTube videos (bookish channels on YouTube) discussing how reading skills are in rapid decline among recent generations. I won't get into the contributing factors, but they're laid out in the videos. One data point shows many people are nervous toward, and intimated by, reading in general. Here's a short list (it could be much longer) of novels I've introduced library patrons to over time who have sought out easier reads. By "easy", I mean novels that contain basic prose, simpler plots, and themes that readily stand out. Recognizing the spectrum of people's interests, I've included a variety of genres and publication time periods. Also, almost all of these are adult-oriented. Many authors on this list only have one book here, but that doesn't mean they have only one easy-to-read novel. Hopefully this helps! Happy reading!
