when you line up all my childhood/teen favourites like this the YA fantasy bias really shows through. i read loads until about the age of 16 then had a massive dry spell until my late twenties so definitely feel like i've missed out on some classics (but got lots on my reading list this year!!). also if you have read the pierre bottero's i will shake your hand
