Adam's Top Trilogies

These are the greatest trilogies I've seen to date, be they tied together by story (most) or are simply thematic (Three Flavours Cornetto/Modern American Frontier Trilogy). Some of the trilogies later added fourth (or more) movies added, but were originally a trilogy and the three movies remain a distinct chapter of a larger franchise.
