The character has become a pop culture icon not just during spooky season, but all year round. Starting out on a local Los Angeles cable television station with the series ''Elvira's Movie Macabre'', Elvira went on to become the first ''Horror Host'' to be nationally syndicated. There were TWO things that for sure helped, however the character was so much more. She was also a great set of legs.
