Gothic: "Of or in a style of architecture prevalent in Western Europe in the 12th-16th centuries (and revived in the mid 18th to early 20th centuries...Belonging or redolent of the Dark Ages; portentously gloomy or horrifying...relating to goths or goth music" (OED). Goth: "a style of rock music derived from punk music, typically with apocalyptic or mystical lyrics...a member of a subculture favouring black clothing, white and black make-up and goth music".
Things to enjoy in the month leading up to Halloween as the the nights get longer and colder: includes all types of Gothic culture from all over the world; featuring literature, film, TV, artwork, places, music, people and trends, dating from its medieval origins to the present day.
