Alliecat's Pick 'N' Mix

Last night at a party, I got to chatting books with a good friend. She asked for some recommendations and a way into exploring some classics. She loves Harry Potter (but not transphobia), Philip Pullman, Sherlock Holmes, Manga and so forth. Therefore I came up with a mix of children's books, gothic horror, fantasy, detective stories and a few other bits and pieces. She has enough here to choose from for a year or so, I reckon. It's a good list, imo, so I thought I would share it here.
