Dear Readers,
I present to you a list of 100 books of poetry and verse, all of which I have read in the last year or so.
You find a wide selection of volumes dating from the ancient world to contemporary, well known poets, lesser known and obscure (Francis Andrews - a volume I acquired a few days ago and I cannot find any info on the internet about him)
The themes range from light-hearted to quirky, humorous to thought-provoking, and some with slightly darker themes (Simon Armitage).
I am enjoying reading these poems and stay open minded when I look around second hand bookshops (where all my books are purchased). Mostly I choose volumes by writers that I have heard of, but I also make a random choice by an author that is unfamiliar - Francis Andrews.
Oh, and any volumes listed more than once - they are different translations.
