Some weeks ago I had the bright idea of creating a long list of Plays / Drama and decided on the figure of 1000.
There are thousands of plays that have been written and produced, so this should be an easy task, I thought. . . . Hmmmm . . . Well, I got there in the end.
There is no rhyme or reason to the selection. I started with plays from my library and productions that I have seen or are forthcoming and then I filled the list with items found on LC..which are mostly random.
These works span from ancient Greece to plays written within the last year or so and covering themes from true crime, real people & events, adaptations, horror and ghost stories, young readers & actors.
Yes, there are a few plays listed twice - they are different versions.
