Dear Readers,
Here is a selection of books that I have read and which contribute towards becoming erudite/well read.
To be well read/erudite you need to be familiar with your own country's literature, and have some knowledge of key works of other countries literature.
For Europeans it is also usual to read works of Greek/Latin authors - in translation if necessary.
And so, here is a selection of works that I have read which contribute to my erudition, both fiction and non-fiction.
There are novels, short stories, plays, poetry, reference works, biographies and spanning across Europe, N.America, S. America, Canada, Africa, Asia, Australia.
Not all countries are covered, however, this list does not cover everything I have read and I have plenty more to read - this is only the tip of the iceberg.
As I am British, obviously there is a leaning towards British works.
(More lists will follow when I have read sufficient to make a decent size list.)
Well, enough waffling:
Happy Reading
