A companion list to my Top 10 Fiction books turned into films.
All of these books are read, but I have not watched all of the films.
I prefer to read the books before watching the films, but I do not always succeed - some cutting it very fine - I read the last chapter of Victoria & Abdul just before going to the cinema.
Reading the book first allows you to see how faithful the film is in comparison. Victoria & Abdul is one example - the real Abdul was a very different character and not very charming at all.
As with all books turned into films, these lists are not even the tip of an iceberg.
