Best Things to See & Do in Japan

I'm an American graduate student from Los Angeles, who is studying in Japan and teaching English for one semester this year (2013). I also visited Japan for one month in 2001 for the first time, as an exchange student with Rotary International. This list is based off of many personal experiences, including things that I have seen or done (and highly recommend), and also includes bucket-list stuff that I'd like to see and do, but haven't got around to doing yet. :) A few of these photos are my own, and others, I've gotten from google or tripadvisor.com.
