Beyond the Sight and Sound Canon Poll: the "Winners" List - Page 16

The They Shoot Pictures, Don't They? website recently published the results of a poll of cinephiles and critics called Beyond the Sight and Sound Canon. The idea was that the voters would be voting for the best feature films that DID NOT get a single vote in the 2022 Sight and Sound Poll. Voters could submit a list of up to 100 films. 839 people voted. The people running the poll used the vote totals and some other factors to determine that these 1,030 films constituted "The A List" or essentially the "Winners" of the Beyond the Sight and Sound Canon Poll. Over 14,000 films got at least one vote in this Beyond the Sight and Sound Canon poll (compared with around 4,000 films that got at least one vote in the real 2022 Sight and Sound poll.) The Saturday Film Discussion Group likes to discuss things like this poll. We meet monthly over Zoom.
