Biggest Opening Weekends of All Time - Page 3

Opening weekends are interesting. In theory, a strong opening weekend means a movie is very successful. However, dropoff is a big factor and a fair number of movies that do well initially end up haemorrhaging audiences when word of mouth spreads. So comparing an opening weekend to overall box office performance tells a lot about audience expectation for a movie and whether a movie lived up to that hype.
