Big Si's Top 25 War Movies

Here is a list of my personal choice for the twenty-five best and greatest war films of all time - films of contemporary conflict, 19th century forward (so no historical movies like Braveheart), and depicting real-world conflict (so no films like Starship Troopers). I've obviously only included films I've seen, which excludes other classics, such as A Bridge too Far, Hacksaw Ridge or The Darkest Hour.
