Billy Y's Top 250 Songs of All Time - Page 5

A (hopefully) well thought-out but (obviously) personal list of the greatest songs composed in English since 1925 for vocal record/album as primary medium (as opposed to classical/theater etc.). Chosen for compositional/lyrical quality, as opposed to performance/production value - although those are not mutually exclusive nor of differing importance. Special consideration given to variety of performers, genres, styles, moods, and time periods, so more than one selection per artist is rare, and more than one per album is prohibited, unless by different author/vocalist. A few bonus selections included from my Top Movie Songs collection, if recorded first by a popular artist.
