There are a few types of books here.
-True Crime books that he might read, these books go along with his job
-Law books and Psychology books, these are the books he most likely read in school and when he was practicing law.
-Books on grief, inspired by the loss of his wife
-Classics, he just gives the vibes of someone who would enjoy those types of books
-Books with characters that remind me of him. The top one being Odysseus from the Odyssey. Hotchner's journey back to his wife and son after a long period of separation caused by forces outside his control mirrors that in the Odyssey.
