Books Read and Remembered - Often in Translation - Page 9

The challenge comprises books from all around the world but only ones for which an English version is available. It is based on the original list of Keçi Hayat (at the link). In her excellent challenge, most of the book titles were not in English so I have produced this 'translated' version.
NOTE: Given that they were originally written in French, many books on this list deal with romantic liaisons (dangerous or otherwise). Quelle surprise!
BTW, "it is sometimes said that the four greatest Portuguese poets of modern times are Fernando Pessoa." (Goodreads)
