In January 2026, on the Reddit sub r/nonfictionbookclub a call was posted for "Books that are so bad nobody should read.
I read a lot of books and 99% of the time if I start a book I will finish it no matter how much I dislike it.
I can only remember one book that was so bad that not only did I not finish it, but I threw it in the trash. That book was Thanks for the Memories: The Truth has Set Me Free' by Taylor Brice.
Has anyone else read a book that they felt was so bad that they recommend that nobody else read it."
And the sub provided. This is a list of the responses- deduped.
The variety of genres is what makes this an interesting list. I see books I disliked and books I loved.
I did not include books where someone said "anything by" a specific author or an author was not given and I could not reasonably verify.
If I missed anything else, I apologize, I'm human and I make mistakes and things could have been added since I looked at the list.
I see many new books to... avoid?
