At the end of January 2025, on the Reddit sub r/suggestmeabook someone posted a call for "Suggest me a book that is totally balls to the walls insane!
Doesn't have to be coherent or even that good. I just want a book that is just batshit crazy, with a whole lot of weirdness all throughout! Could be any genre."
And the sub provided. This is a list of the responses- deduped. I did see some discussion as to whether or not a book "qualified" as insane or crazy, but I didn't consider that my place to include or exclude a book based on those arguments. The variety of opinions and recommendations is what makes this a great list.
I did not include books: where someone said "anything by" a specific author; an entire series; or an author was not given and I could not reasonably verify.
If I missed anything else, I apologize, I'm human and I make mistakes and things could have been added since I looked at the list.
