I had the great good fortune to grow up during the space race AND to have parents who were in medicine and engineering. The sciences were valued and imagination was encouraged. When I was 10, my parents let me join the Science Fiction Book Club; I was allowed 1 book a month.Now, 62 years later, I am pleased and proud that I have not lost my sense of wonder.
