One of my book clubs is thematic, and we chose to read books one month related to monarchs (precipitated by the death of Queen Elizabeth II). Here you'll find a list of books of kings and queens, princes and princesses, emperors and chiefs, of principalities and religions, real and imagined, across time and place.
