Books Written by Living Trans Elders

There isn't really a clear definition of what a "trans elder" is. In some context it simply refers to a trans person who is older, whatever that means. In other contexts it might refer to someone who transitioned long ago and/or has been out as trans for a long time.
The list is compiled from a prompt on the Queer Your Years 2025 challenge on the Storygraph and I haven't made any judgments in terms of whether someone "truly" is a trans elder.
