CBR's 15 Best Movies With the Worst Endings

"A movie's end should bring a sense of closure. While a good ending shouldn't be entirely predictable, it should certainly match what came before it. Sometimes, however, an ending will miss the mark. It might try and be too clever or come as such a surprise that it doesn't provide any satisfaction for the audience. A great movie will make sure that the audience gets attached to its characters. As such, the ending should fit their journey. However, bad endings sometimes sacrifice previously established goodwill in favor of an unearned surprise. Others go too far and shatter the audience's suspension of disbelief. Even great films can drop the ball at the last second. It's not enough to ruin the whole film, but it can leave a bad taste in viewers' mouths." - cbr.com
